Peter Lloyd WINS !

The 13th Brean Stages rally has been won by Peter Lloyd /Graham Handley in his super quick Subaru Impreza S12 WRC. This is Peter's Third victory in the events history his last win back in 2001. Peter led the rally through day 1 Saturday's eight stages. After the overnight Park Ferme the remaining 76 crews took to the start on day two Sunday of the rally morning.With the field re-seeded Peter Lloyd led the cars away on stage 9, but it was car 1 David Kynaston playing catch up after his day1 dramas who posted the quickest time on this the first of the days six stages. Early retirement of the day was Karl Broad/Trasie Moore who had been in 2nd place with the sole Metro 6R4 but he limped out of stage 9 with broken steering.

By the end of stage 10 David Kynaston / Andy Russell had launched their fightback in the Audi A3 Quattro, slotting into second place just 17 seconds behind the Subaru Imprezza of Lloyd/ Handley overtaking the Furzelands Subaru Impreza in the process. These podium positions not altering through the remaining stages. Giving the win by a 21 second margin to Peter Lloyd.
